Roy’s Cafe & Motel
Self-proclaimed crustiest, dustiest gas station on all of Route 66. Amboy is one of the oldest towns in California, dating back to 1858. Word is the owner of the Juan Pollo chain recently bought the entire town with the promise of restoring the town to greatness.
We can’t find an address, but it’s some 30 miles east from Ludlow, about 80 km west from Needles, and about 50 miles north of Twentynine Palms in the Mojave desert. www.rt66roys.com
