Best Professional Sports Franchise to Just About Exist

Ontario’s new Citizens Business Bank Arena will house more than concerts once it opens this fall; beginning October 25, it’ll be home to the ECHL’s Ontario Reign. For those of your new to the concept of ice hockey, the ECHL is the East Coast Hockey League—which is a farm team for the American Hockey League’s Manchester Monarchs, which is a farm team for the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings. We know what you’re thinking—will Gabe Gauthier come home to the Ontario Reign? For his sake, hopefully not. Hopefully he comes home as a King. Right now he’s a Monarch. All these Kings and Monarchs and the Reign—it’s downright King George. And before you quibble over geography—Ontario being nowhere near the East Coast—remember that the Arizona football Cardinals were members of the NFC East for many years. Many years. So don’t.
