Satisfy your appetite at Belgian Waffle Works

Posted January 21, 2009 in Feature Story

When the mercury hits the freezing mark and you’re aiming to burn that internal flame to get your senses back on deck, great grubbing becomes resolutely mandatory. This totally becomes the case when you’re hanging in Lake Arrowhead in the middle of January, where its wintry climes make for a chilly resistance in doing anything. Enter the long-established Belgian Waffle Works, with its tantalizing aroma wafting about into the noses of waiting parties and passersby at the Village. Situated right on the edge of the lake, the view’s pristine, especially while you’re pounding down one of some dozen varieties of waffles (which are served all day), plus soups, sandwiches and salads. Due to the restaurant’s popularity, be forewarned of a possible wait—the disclaimer is printed on the menu—but if you’re patient and you’ve got an appetite to spare, know that the fuel for your waning fire is waiting in the Village.
