HOMETOWN: The Inland Empire

BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK: Formed in the summer of 2007.

FOR FANS OF: Social Distortion, KISS, Rancid, Black Label Society and Guns N‘ Roses.

LATEST SPINS: The band’s latest album, Against The Grain, was released in May. A follow-up is slated for a spring 2010 release.

ON THE STAGE: Vizionz has hit many local rock clubs from the Inland Empire to the world-famous Sunset Strip, including a headlining stint at Angels Roadhouse in Apple Valley. The band is scheduled to headline the Weekend From Hell Festival on Sept. 11 and 12 at Angels Sports Bar in Corona and Angels Roadhouse.

YOUR TWO CENTS: “The band has really took an old-fashioned approach to its style and sound; a couple of notes, driving drums, screaming guitar solos, big fat bass lines and all the knobs turned up  to 10!” frontman Church says. “We like playing good old fashioned rock with an attitude. But most of all, we want to be able to rock out on stage with what we write, and if you have seen us live you know what the hell I’m talking about!”

WHY YOU SHOULD CARE: Vizionz won the “Best Punk” award at this year’s Inland Empire Music Awards and other IEMA awards in past years as well (“Best New Generation Hard Rock Band” in  2007 and “Best Inland  Empire Band” in 2008). The band has also gotten love in print and online publications such as Dischordance Magazine, Rocksnail, Metal Monthly and Inland Empire Weekly (insert shameless plug here).

THE LOCAL MUSIC SCENE ROCKS BECAUSE: “The support within the Inland Empire Music scene is amazing, the fans, venues, promoters and our sponsors (all IE-based) . . . that’s why I am proud as hell to say Vizionz is an Inland Empire band!!!”
