Who do Voodoo? We do—and everyone who’s been in their presence over the past couple decades, too. These ska-punk legends are Riverside royalty, having carried the torch—starting with IE-based Dr. Strange Records and later moving on to the Epitaph and Victory labels—for many that have come after them. But let these guys put it in their own words: “We play fast. We play hard. We play voodoo sound like no other.” These guys were major shot callers for last year’s Ska is Dead tour and the California Street Music Festival in downtown Riverside. Even City Hall knows how kick-ass this band is. Come catch the Casillas brothers and friends tear it up with The Howlers, Sederra, Longway and The Failures. The cool thing is that if you miss this Friday’s Pomona show, get your butt over to Big Bear Lake for a show on Saturday and they’ve got a Feb. 28 show booked for Karma in Victorville. Now that’s showing your home turf the love.
