If you’ve ever been caught in the shower singing “Mony Mony,” or “White Wedding,” Agua Caliente’s got a show lined up that’s made especially for all your solitary dancing needs. Billy Idol, the rock ‘n’ roller that doesn’t seem to have an expiration date, will perform with his long-time guitarist, Steve Stevens, Saturday night at the casino. Infused with enough Anglo bravado to last a lifetime, Billy rocks on at 54 years old (and, if you can believe it, his hair isn’t any whiter than it was in the ’80s). Although the music scene has definitely metamorphosed over the years, the tunes that built Billy’s celebrity are still very much popular today. Though he originally set out to create a punk rock career, he became an MTV icon and crossed over into a niche that was equal parts rock, pop and punk, garnered an immensely diverse audience and provided fodder for a 2001 broadcast of Behind the Music. So whether you’re middle-aged and want an excuse to dust off that leather jacket, or a youngun who’s ready to rebelliously yell, “more, more, more,” this show will definitely be your time to rock the nearest cradle of love.
