Nebraska might not be known for producing the most rockingest of rockers, but it can at least lay claim to Tim Kasher, frontman for seminal indie rock outfits Cursive and The Good Life. Fans can hear brand new tracks off of The Game of Monogamy, Kasher’s first proper solo album, on Friday at The Glass House Record Store in Pomona. Interestingly enough, the disc (which dropped in early October) is not the Omaha native’s first attempt at striking out on his own; when The Good Life was formed in 2000, it was originally intended to be a solo effort. And let it not be said that Timmy Kasher isn’t a hard-working performer; according to his website, he will be rocking nearly 50 shows in the short span of two months. Aside from a single San Diego date the next day, this show will be Kasher’s last SoCal stop on the tour, and at a venue as intimate as the Glass House Record Store, it is not one to be missed. Recently added to the show is Aussie import Darren Hanlon.
