Sporting a name like a scene out of a hardcore action film (imagine being thrown out of a window), Glassjaw has three Cali dates booked (including the Saturday show at The Glass House) to promote new EP Our Color Green (The Singles) and Coloring Book. And this time with a new line-up! Just kidding . . . the newer guys have been around since 2009. The four-piece post-hardcore/alt-rock band is infamous for its spontaneous lineup changes that have been a constant feature since the group’s inception in 1993, with only founders Daryl Palumbo (vocals) and Justin Beck (guitar) as the consistent players. Palumbo and Beck have been friends and band mates since they were teenagers, conjuring the name Glassjaw simply because “it just sounded cool,” which is agreeable if you don’t picture what it might look like. Yet their progressive, hardcore punk style has curried them enough favor to get them to festivals like the Vans Warped Tour, Ozzfest, and Give It A Name (sorry, a U.K. fest). With vinyl single “All Good Junkies go to Heaven” selling out within hours of its release through their website last year, they are bound to put on a great performance in front of rabid fans this weekend. So take this opportunity to check out Glassjaw at The Glass House (I’ve got a strange feeling about this). And if they engage in any Roadrunner Records smack-talkin‘, well, you’ve been warned.

Glassjaw w/Tidal Arms, These People at The Glass House, 200 W. 2nd  St., Pomona, (909) 865-3802;,  Sat, Feb. 26. 7PM. $25.
