Are you sick and tired of everything on the radio? Do you have a secret desire to strangle Justin Bieber until the smug little smirk leaves his face? Well, then you really need therapy. For the rest of us sane people who need real music, Claremont Village is celebrating the start of the summer with Blues and Brews. The semi-clever naming convention says it all: walk around Claremont Village, taste different kinds of beer and listen to the village people (local acts, not the ’70s era musical explosion of questionable sexuality) perform blues music for your entertainment. Don’t like blues? Then you’re clearly reading the wrong Hap. That’s basically everything this event has to offer. The line up so far looks promising: the Claremont Voodoo Society, the Rebellious Blues Dogs and Synergy have booked the event. Judging by their names alone, they’re bound to be cooking up something funky. Let the music sink into you while you drink and nosh on the local cuisine. You’re missing out on a golden opportunity if you skip this event. At the very least, it’s bound to be at pretty chill way to spend your Saturday evening.

“Blues and Brews” at the Claremont Village, 150 W. First St, Claremont, (909) 626-1364; www.thevillageclaremont.com/bandb.html. 4pm-8pm. $35 in advance, $40 at the door.
