It isn’t always for the best when life imitates art. Called the Breaking Bad professor by The Press-Enterprise, Cal State San Bernardino kinesiology professor Stephen Kinzey will appear in court Oct. 19 and Oct. 23. Kinzey has been accused of selling drugs and running a methamphetamine operation out of his home, and these appearances will include preliminary hearings to see if there is enough evidence to go to a full trial. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department thinks that Kinsey runs a local chapter of a motorcycle club called the Devil’s Diciples (yes, that’s how they spell it). Does anyone else think that sounds just a little more awesome than the show itself? AMC take note, this has spinoff potential written all over it. Just saying. Although he hasn’t been teaching since he was formally charged last August, Kinzey still runs a private practice in his home. Although his attorney says he has an alibi, maybe the show should start with a “Do not try this at home” warning just in case.
