The major issue about being a fan of psychedelic music is that nothing solid has come out of the genre for a good 40 years.  But now, there’s a cosmic ray of hope for those of you who long for the strings of Hendrix and the depth of Jefferson Starship. JUJU is here and it’s ready to play. If you’re near Claremont, stop by The Press for an experience that you really don’t get outside of listening to your old vinyls. Even better, the duo won’t be alone. Runson Willis will be accompanying the band, taking some time off from his normal set with Blac Jesus & The Experimentalists, last year’s winners for Best Band Name Ever. And you don’t have to worry about being a little late to the party either: If you tune into KSPC 88.7 FM beforehand, you’ll be able to hear JUJU record live from the studio, a good way to get properly psyched up before seeing the show.  Sounds pretty groovy to us.

The Press, 129 Harvard Ave., Claremont, (909) 625-4808; www.thepressrestaurant.com. 9pm. Free.
