San Bernardino County Democratic Party has a new head honcho—but hold the wine and roses. Despite the fact that Chris Robles, who used to serve on the board of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, was recently elected to serve as chairman of the San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee, there appear to be things from his past that have some fellow party members calling to put the brakes on things, according to The San Bernardino Sun. Robles, records show, in the past has failed to properly report contributions and failed to file timely campaign statements when he was treasurer for the 58th Assembly District Democratic campaign. One investigation showed that a political contribution once ended up in the bank account belonging to one of Robles’ businesses. He’s been reprimanded by the state’s Fair Political Practices Commission, which imposed a $2,000 penalty for failing to file campaign paperwork. So, San Bernardino County Democrats, say hello to the new boss. Chris Robles, San Bernardino County should feel just like home.
