Before today’s era of electronic dance, which sends our pulses speeding with heavy beats, there were the soulful tunes and relatable lyrics of the band America. It’s been 40 years since the group was discovered in 1972 and it has come a long way with the success of seven albums as a trio. After regaining his faith, band member Dan Peek decided to call it quits in 1977 to focus on his path towards a solo career. Despite the loss of a band member, the remaining duo Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell proved to stand strong as a two-man band with the 1982 hit, “You Can Do Magic,” and proves to thrive in popularity today as they still go around touring. With more than 4 million copies of its The Complete Greatest Hits album sold and multiple chart topping hits, witness musical history as America returns for one night at the Fox Performing Arts Center.
