The sounds of people’s voices are very different depending on who it’s coming from. Most of us have a mediocre singing voice, but there are those who will blow you away with the amazing set of lungs. Finding even one individual with that talent is rare, but finding two together? That’s a match made for movies (and if Hollywood doesn’t have a film for that already, I’m sure some writer is working on the script right now). But Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley don’t have anyone telling them how to sing and dance in perfect old-school harmony like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers, but a Broadway director might have a say. This husband and wife duo is hailed as “Broadway’s golden couple” and they do everything together: sing, dance and act. They are passionate about their work and have the power to channel heartfelt moments into song (being and working together for over 15 years definitely helps in building the chemistry between the two). Wife Mazzie has played a fine role and been nominated for numerous awards for performances in Kiss Me Kate, Ragtime, Big River and Into the Woods, while husband Danieley is an accomplished recording artist who has been named by The New York Times as having “the most exquisite tenor on Broadway.” You too can have the honor of hearing what Broadway knows all too well.
