Ulrich Roth sounds like a name you would recognize if you’ve heard it because of the simple fact that it’s a very unique name. C’mon, how many Ulrich’s do you know? Maybe it doesn’t sound familiar because Ulrich is not what he usually goes by, most people know him as Uli Jon Roth. Still not ringing any bells?  Here’s a hint . . . he will “Rock you Like a Hurricane.” For those of you that didn’t grow up in the ‘80s and can’t recall skin-tight spandex and big hair that is the name of the hit song by the Scorpions with Uli as the lead guitarist. This high-flying musician has shred with the best of ’em playing killer guitar solos. But a normal guitar just didn’t let Uli explore his creativity. He had to think bigger than what was already out there so he reimagined the standard fret count of the classical and electric guitar (19 frets and 24 frets, respectively) to create a custom 30-35 fret guitar! He shot for the stars but this innovator and aviator reached the sky (“Sky guitar” that is). Uli is also a teacher for the Sky Academy where he teaches a one-of-a-kind course that is designed to teach musicians better and more holistic ways to create music. But no musical enlightenment is needed to enjoy this show because the lessons will stay in the classroom. Uli will just rock you back to classic Scorpions songs that you’ll be more familiar with in celebration of the band’s 40th anniversary.
