Every now and then, the rowdy world of country needs someone to slow things down and take it easy. If that sounds good to you, you should be sure to check out Love and Theft. These guys, Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson, are some of the chillest voices to pick up an acoustic guitar. If you wanted the candor and freshness of a young Rascal Flatts with just a hint of Brad Paisley, this is your band.  Stephen and Eric have smoothly glided into the Billboard charts with songs like “Runaway” and “Angel Eyes,” solidifying themselves as one of the sweetest sounding acts in country music. Riverside’s Brandin’ Iron is well-known for hosting the best up-and-comers in the genre, so it’s the perfect scene for Love and Theft. While they haven’t released anything new since last year now is the perfect time to adopt the carefree sounds of modern country. This duo has written for Martina McBride and sang at the Grand Ol’ Opry three years after its formation. Heck, one of them is responsible for inspiring Taylor Swift’s hit song “Hey Stephen” after opening for her.  These nice guys from Nashville with tunes that will make you swoon . . . what’s not to love?

Brandin’ Iron Saloon & Dance Hall, 320 S. E St., San Bernardino, (909) 888-7388; 8:30PM. $15.
