The great battle between the mongoose and the snake has always been talked about, but which fearsome animal would win? In the animal kingdom, it’s anybody’s guess (although I think the mongoose has a slight edge), but in the human world we will finally have an answer. Snake and Mongoose is the new film that tells the story of an epic battle between Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “Mongoose” McEwen. These two fierce competitors have one of the greatest rivalries in drag racing history that deserves to be told. Enjoy a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception before watching the story unfolded before your eyes. You get to see all of the trials and tribulations and you can ask anything you want of the stars themselves. Executive producer Alan Paradise will be alongside the cast, crew and other notable racing guests to participate in the Q&A section. The movie came about because Paradise originally planned on writing a book for the 35th anniversary of Snake and Mongoose Hot Wheel toys, but there was just too much to say. Once he realized how much cinematic brilliance he could get from the real life stories, he teamed up with the NHRA Motorsports Museum to create this riveting film. Throughout the making of it, the NHRA was right along for the ride to make sure the historical standpoint (including everything from the photographs to the cars and the wardrobes) was right. It’s an exciting film that every racing fan should watch.
