You haven’t lived until you’ve had the pleasure of experiencing what its like to Throw the Goat! It may sound like a cute name at first, albeit a little odd, but don’t let that fool you because this is one goat whose bite is nothing compared to its bark. This band’s sound is pure rock ‘n’ roll with each member bringing his own flair to the table. It has an all heavy, no frills approach to music that is immediately reminiscent of older Metallica and Motorhead. The raspy vocals of lead singer/bass player Michael Schnaizer are not your typical goat call; they bring a true intensity that makes you want to let that dirty hair fly around in true headbangin’ fashion. I feel like I have to warn you that there will be a few things besides long hair, black shirts and face-melting solo’s you’ll need to be on the lookout for. Throw the Goat has a reputation for inciting massive amounts of partying that will cause its fans to fill venues beyond capacity and possibly drink the bar dry. And another tip, feel free to let that guy with the long-braided goatee next to you whip freely. Just try to stay out of its way, no one wants to get whacked in the face. So forget about grabbing the bull by the horns, that’s mere childs play to these guys. Grab the goat, give it a throw and be a part of a wrecking crew full of heavy rock madness.
