_Bite Me LogoPechanga Resort & Casino is the outer-Inland Empire’s little gold mine getaway. There isn’t anywhere else residents can escape to for a great gaming experience and fine dining (our newest review of Paisano’s Italian Restaurant proves Pechanga’s worth in the food world). Although Pechanga is pretty amazing, the 10-year-old casino is currently being transformed with a beneficial revamp. Construction has temporarily closed the lobby, guest check-on, the gift store and three restaurants, the results of which are bound to give the resort a fresh, well-deserved look. About 300 hired workers (most of which happen to be residents of Riverside or San Diego County) are hard at work bringing Pechanga’s new reality to life. Way to go Pechanga!

In terms of the resident eateries at Pechanga, a new wine and coffee bar will soon be unveiled. The bar will invite guests to grab a cup of one of the coffee house’s specialty coffee drinks and pastries in a relaxing environment while watching many people pass by. Another restaurant, previously known as the Seafood Grotto, will be transformed into the Umi Sushi & Oyster Bar (which will feature a long dining bar and the beauty of a large, salt-water fish tank). The sushi bar’s atmosphere will reflect that of underwater jewels and treasure, but the real treasure will be the freshest sea-fare from the Pacific Ocean.

There are plenty of great restaurants to dine at while construction continues, but there are some good eats comin’ to Pechanga in the coming months!
